So as most of you know London Calling has been getting this new
venue (Shock City Studio Loft) off the ground. In December we were
operating under temporary permits to "try out" the space (if you
will).
Due to the overwhelming success of London Calling at the Loft, we've
decided to take the steps into making this a more permanent venue.
However the transition between temporary and permanent has not been
especially smooth for us. This is largely due to bureaucratic holds
up with City Hall. Which means to get anything done quickly requires
a month’s prior notification.
As of today we are now almost through our purgatory month of
waiting, and we hope that City Hall will soon show us some love.
Unfortunately this means we’ve now had to cancel the last 2 London
Calling’s (in January) to ensure that we can host future London
Calling’s at Shock City!
We are very excited about the future of London Calling at Shock
City, but also realize we’re looking at the big picture and trying
not to make too many enemies along the way.
We truly appreciate your love, support and patience over these last
3+ years. We can’t wait to resume the party on Saturday February
13th! |
